Fifteen
- Too young to vote
- Too young to stay out late
- Too young to date
- Too young to know the rights & wrongs
- Too young to sit and talk with the 'adults'
But old enough to choose the subjects that decide what we want to do with the rest of our lives!

Very good thought!
Life is so short, that decision need to be forced on people, even before they get the right exposure.!!
I guess it doesn't really matter what we study. But I think its more important how
we study.
Succinct post.
But, are these still true of the 15 year olds of today? Except for the voting part, they seem to be doing all the other actions listed.
I can see TJ's POV on life being too short and all that and in some matters, age has absolutely nothing to do with decisions!
What I was more 'concerned' was about how some are forced (by circumstances or pressured) to stick to those decisions. It is unfortunate that there is not much flexibility in our education system...
> still true of the 15 year olds of today?
What we did @ 15 was frowned upon by our elders too ;-) Doesn't matter if its 15 or 50, I am sure generation gap would always play a part =)
Thats the curse of this education system.... We are choosing our subjects before reacjhing the maturity level of selecting appropriate things...
And who said 15 is too young to sit and talk wit adults...naah..i dnt think so...
World is changing...
By the by bumped into this blog from a fellow blogger...
Keep writing..
RR,
Good thought process, but who is the 'peeve' targetted at.
if it is at 'kids' wanting to choose a subject themselves or parents wanting them to choose what they select for their kids - you are right
if it is at the parents who permit such activity, then kids are right in asking for other things to be allowed to :-)
BTB, too yount to date - can someone be old enough in their parents eyes' to do that anytime ?
Decision making ability has nothing to do with age. But experience teaches you lot that's why the age factor comes to play.
